- Matthew Tarini is a young realist painter living in Toronto. He was trained initially in the traditional academic method and has found it invaluable as a foundation for creating realist works. He is now exploring different ways of expressing himself with paint. Recently he has been referring to the works of other artists he admires for inspiration, ideas and new techniques. Matthew is particularly interested in portraiture and is actively building a body of work in this genre.
